Tutoring

Tutoring

Parents for Bilingual Education NB provides free French tutoring in partnership with Apprendre Franco-fun. Tutoring is available to students from K-12 studying in New Brunswick’s anglophone school system, regardless of their program. We offer this program multiple times during the school year, releasing a certain number of tutoring spots to each Anglophone School District. Each tutoring recipient is given a free online assessment, followed by five free individual 25-minute online tutorials.

FAQS

There is no pre-set tutoring curriculum. Tutors assess students’ current level of French and tailor their classes to the needs of the student.

Not necessarily. Tutoring sessions will be scheduled with Apprendre Franco-fun to fit your availability, and whether your child has the same tutor every time depends on the availability of their tutoring staff.

Each free tutoring spot includes a free assessment of your child’s French level, followed by five individual 25-minute tutoring sessions.

Tutoring is provided by our partners at Apprendre Franco-fun. (Link to their website: https://www.apprendrefrancofun.com/) Their tutors all speak French as a first language. They receive excellent reviews from parents and teachers who have seen their children benefit from their tutoring!

Currently, the registration forms are distributed to teachers by the school district, who pass them on to parents. We use this system to ensure that students in all parts of New Brunswick can benefit from the program.

As a non-profit organization, we can’t do what we do without your support.
